About the Session
We want to create a sustainable future. But we are facing an imagination crisis. Most people can’t imagine how a sustainable future actually looks like, and how it will be better for them than the status quo we know. In this session, Lien and Jorn will talk about the importance of Futures Thinking for change makers, show some futures emerging before us, and share how you can use future visions to make a sustainable world irresistible today.
Lien is fascinated by speculative design, creativity and the potential interplay between artificial and natural intelligence. Next to being a strategist at Elders, she is a futures lecturer at Design for Impact and futures researcher at the LABOPro research unit of Luca School of Arts.
Jorn is inspired by Futures Thinking, behavorial sciences, fantasy and all things brain related needed to build a better world. He started working as a behavioural strategist for SUE Amsterdam and co-founded the Behavioural Design Academy. Afterwards he founded his own sustainable behaviour change agency, NONO, in which he helped governments, non-profits and companies design strategies to boost sustainable action. He co-founded also the Sustainability Leadership Program with KU Leuven, in which he is currently a board member.
