IMPACT MONDAY| “Allemaal Sociaal” revisited – creating a sustainable society

septembre 23, 2019

For many years, Piet Colruyt and Steven Serneels have been interacting with businesses, social entrepreneurs, investors and governments in their search for a more entrepreneurial and sustainable socio-economic model. In their book “Allemaal sociaal 3.0”, authored by Filip Michiels in 2016, they pooled their knowledge and experience with Johan Moyersoen and Marieke Huysentruyt to explore and discuss this approach, illustrated by relevant cases.

The message of ‘Allemaal Sociaal 3.0’ is clear: the current socio-economic model urgently needs a mind shift. Governments, societal organisations and businesses have been working too long in their own bubble, striving to realise their own goals, providing little room for collaboration and change. The society 3.0 is one where these worlds reach out, combine their strengths and act towards common goals. Instead of either maximizing financial return or just ‘doing good’, they must adopt a combined entrepreneurial and impact-driven mindset ensuring that all actions truly benefit society at large.

On the 23st of September Piet Colruyt and Steven Serneels reunited at the Impact House to re-evaluate their original thinking and share new insights: what changed, where were they wrong and what still holds to create a viable and sustainable future, for all.
